In the digital realm, Dezeen- world's most influential architecture, interiors and design magazine, was the first (internationally) to feature our shop's opening in São Paulo, back in 2015.

Shortly after, FLO was featured on other leading design blogs such as Trendland, the online magazine that has been delivering trends in design, art, fashion, travel, photography and culture since 2006, and refered to as Botanical Concept Store for the first time.

How our journey began

We started our studio in 2013, working from the laundry room of our apartment! A lot has changed since then... we are so proud to share our story with you.

Our first brick and mortar opened in 09/2015 and gained a lot of attention from the press.

Terrariums quickly became our bestsellers. Because of their compact size and low maintenance, they were the perfect fit for urbanites constantly on the run.

Our house as inspiration

From the laundry room, we moved to a house, where we lived and had our studio. Clients made orders and would come pick them up. What happened next is something we couldn't predict: clients became interested in our home decor! Indoor plants, crystals, botanical posters and even branches we had gathered from walks. That was when we realized FLO was our personal lifestyle and people wanted the whole package.

Lesson learned: our first shop went beyond terrariums, we grew as a brand, curating goods that resonated with us, bringing botany and design closer together.

Be a part of our story

In 2017 we moved to a bigger location in São Paulo, our oasis. In a building designed by Triptyque, filled with windows, lovely natural light and even a garden for our clients to relax.

In 2019 we decided to venture overseas, into another very urban city, possibly the first one that comes to mind when you hear urban: New York city! You know what they say, if you can make it there...

Come see us, we are located inside Farm Rio, at 113 Prince ST (SOHO). Opening date: april 25th.
